Job summary

Stannah Group in Andover seeks a Material Controller to support manufacturing with timely material orders, deliveries, and bookings. You will ensure materials are available at the point of use to keep production flowing and minimise downtime.

The role requires forklift operation, inventory control experience, and strong organisational skills within a manufacturing environment. Permanent contract, 42 hours weekly, 07:00–16:45 Mon–Thu, 07:00–12:00 Fri.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence and experience handling inventory in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to manage stock levels and minimize downtime.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks safely and perform daily checks.
• Manage deliveries, check and book in goods, distribute to production.
• Monitor stock levels and order materials to maintain production flow.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, invoice queries and returns.
• Support continuous improvement in inventory control and material flow.
• Carry out perpetual inventory counts and assist stock takes.
• Respond quickly to stock shortages to minimise downtime.
• Maintain cleanliness in yard and storage areas.

This role will involve providing a vital support service across the manufacturing operation, working closely with Purchasing and Operations teams to minimise downtime. You will ensure all materials and components are ordered, delivered, booked in, and available at point of use to keep production running efficiently.

As a Material Controller, you will work 42 hours a week,07:00 - 16:45 Monday - Thursday, 07:00 - 12:00 Fridayon a permanent contract.
