Job summary

Foss Motors Inc is seeking a Master Technician to perform vehicle diagnostic, maintenance and repair work in a fast-paced, professional family-owned shop in the United Kingdom. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and customer-focused service.

Training and a positive team environment are provided. The technician will work with a high-volume shop, using diagnostic tools and service equipment, and must maintain strong teamwork and communication with the Service Advisor and customers.

Qualifications

• ASE certification required or in progress.
• Strong automotive background and experience in diagnostics.
• Teamwork and effective communication in a fast-paced shop.
• Ability to quickly identify problems and articulate solutions.
• Solid knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Good reading, computer and math skills for diagnostics and record-keeping.
• Willingness to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and software.
• Willing to submit to drug screening and background checks.
• Must possess a clean and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to assess components and systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about needed additional work and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• ASE certified
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Ability to identify problems quickly
