Job summary

Evans Halshaw in Gateshead is seeking a Master Paint Technician to lead complex automotive paint refinishing, achieve precise colour matches and deliver flawless finishes. You will share expertise within a collaborative team and mentor peers as a technical reference.

The role rewards expertise with a basic up to £36,400 plus an OTE from £46,400, and it includes generous benefits, pension, and retirement leave as part of Lithia UK’s generous package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant Body and Paint qualification (City & Guilds, IMI or BTEC).
• Extensive automotive paint refinishing experience to a high standard.
• High focus on colour matching, paint mixing and finishing quality.

What you’ll bring:

• Full UK driving licence.
• A relevant Body and Paint qualification (City & Guilds, IMI or BTEC)
• Extensive automotive paint refinishing experience, with the technical expertise to complete complex paint repairs to an exceptional standard.
• Advanced skills in surface preparation, colour matching, paint mixing, spraying and blending, with meticulous attention to finish quality.
• Confidence identifying the causes of complex paint defects, selecting effective rectification methods and managing your workload efficiently.
• A commitment to safe working practices and consistent quality, with the ability to share technical knowledge, mentor colleagues and support continuous improvement.
