Evans Halshaw Gateshead Bodyshop is seeking a skilled Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Technician. You will remove and refit components, diagnose faults and carry out repairs to exacting manufacturer standards.

You’ll work in a supportive team, develop your skills on varied tasks, and enjoy generous benefits including a £2,000 joining bonus, uncapped earnings potential and 33 days holiday. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical and trim work within automotive body repair with commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components with attention to fit, function and finish.
• Ability to identify faults using diagnostic equipment and follow manufacturer repair methods.
• Commitment to safe working practices and thorough quality checks, working with panel and paint colleagues throughout the repair process.

Bring your technical expertise and eye for detail to Gateshead Bodyshop as a Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Technician. Play a key role in the repair process by removing and refitting vehicle components, identifying faults and completing repairs in line with manufacturer methods. Take pride in precise, high-quality workmanship while developing your skills within a supportive team.

What do you need to succeed as a Bodyshop Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Technician?

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical and trim work within an automotive body repair environment, with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Strong skills in removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components, with excellent attention to correct fit, function and finish.
• Confidence identifying faults, using diagnostic equipment, following manufacturer repair methods and managing your workload efficiently.
• A commitment to safe working practices and thorough quality checks, working collaboratively with panel and paint colleagues throughout the repair process.
