Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking a MASH Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Doncaster. Based at Collonades Office, you will assess and screen safeguarding referrals, collate information from partner agencies and make critical threshold decisions to protect children and support families.

We expect a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with passion for safeguarding and strong assessment skills.

Qualifications

A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Passionate about safeguarding children and improving outcomes.
Skilled in assessment, analysis and professional judgement.
Able to work effectively under pressure and manage competing demands.

Responsibilities

Assess and screen contacts and safeguarding referrals.
Gather and analyse information from partner agencies.
Identify risk and protective factors affecting children and families.
Make threshold decisions regarding Early Help, Child in Need, Child Protection and other interventions.
Participate in strategy discussions and safeguarding decisions.
Provide professional advice and consultation to partner agencies.
Produce concise, high‑quality assessments and records.
Ensure the voice and lived experience of the child informs all decision‑making.
