Job summary

Citi London is seeking a summer analyst to join the Markets team for a 10-week program starting in June. You will rotate across three desks to gain a well-rounded view of Sales, Trading, Structuring, Quantitative Analysis or Securitisation and Financing.

The program includes a week of training in London and ongoing exposure to trading floors and market analysis. You will learn fundamentals of the analyst role, Citi culture and how to collaborate with peers while developing your professional

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university and expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level.
• Penultimate year of university.
• Good understanding of finance and an interest in Markets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, VBA) is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with peers on projects and in pitching trade ideas.
• Collect and analyse macro market and industry information to assist your team.
• Build and utilise your network by shadowing across desks and asset classes on the trading floor.
• Assist with preparation of internal documentation and presentations for the team.
• Engage in discussions with product heads across the business.
• Learn how to price, manage risk and execute trades across asset classes.
