Job description

Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a global financial institution? Then bring your skills in analysis, problem-solving, and communication to a dynamic Markets Program Execution team.

By joining a leading global financial institution, you will become part of an organization whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Role Overview:

The Program Execution team is responsible for managing strategic transformation programs within the Markets Business, encompassing both regulatory and business-driven initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to change initiatives across the Markets organization. You will work alongside various internal stakeholders including Front Office, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Compliance teams globally, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of key programs. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your expertise in both technical and business subject matters within a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive high-impact projects within our strategic Markets portfolio, contributing directly to critical business growth and regulatory change initiatives. You will operate at the intersection of business strategy, financial engineering, and technology, collaborating with global, regional, and local colleagues across front-to-back functions.

  • Drive End-to-End Delivery: Lead the execution of complex projects across our global Markets business (covering Equities, Fixed Income, Credit, Commodities, and FX), taking ownership of timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and scope management.
  • Bridge Business and Technology: Partner closely with Front Office trading desks, Risk Management, Operations, and Technology teams to dissect complex market requirements, map technical data flows, and define precise project scopes and success metrics.
  • Proactively Manage Risks & Dependencies: Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, technical bottlenecks, and cross-asset dependencies. Translate complex technical and operational issues into clear, actionable status reports and decision frameworks for senior leadership.
  • Orchestrate Readiness & Testing: Lead comprehensive business and technical readiness activities, including cross-functional training, stakeholder communications, and the coordination of complex User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across front-to-back trading and risk systems.
  • Maintain Rigorous Governance: Ensure all project documentation is complete, structured, and auditable. Maintain detailed project plans, functional specifications, and risk/issue logs in compliance with internal governance and external regulatory standards.
What we'll need from you:

We are looking for a highly motivated, delivery-focused professional who possesses a deep understanding of financial markets, strong technical literacy, and the ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams.

  • Markets Domain Expertise: Proven experience in project management, business analysis, or a similar delivery-focused role within a global Markets environment, with a track record of delivering initiatives across Equities, Fixed Income, Credit, Commodities, or FX.
  • Financial Product Knowledge: A strong fundamental understanding of capital markets, including trading lifecycles (front-to-back), market structures, pricing, and risk management principles across multiple asset classes.
  • Technical Literacy: Strong analytical and technical understanding; ability to comprehend system architectures, data models, APIs, and trading/risk platforms, enabling you to collaborate effectively with software engineers, quantitative analysts, and database administrators.
  • Control & Regulatory Experience: Experience delivering projects that impact control structures, regulatory compliance (e.g., Basel, MiFID, Dodd-Frank), or operational risk frameworks within a trading environment.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong analytical capabilities, with a first-principles approach to dissecting complex business processes, identifying root causes of technical issues, and proposing structured, scalable solutions.
  • High-Impact Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and financial concepts clearly to both business leaders and technical teams, fostering alignment and collaboration.
  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor's/University degree in a technical or financial discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics) or equivalent practical experience.
