Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd is seeking a hands-on B2B marketing lead to build marketing from the ground up. You’ll shape the strategy from day one and own it end to end, reporting to two directors with a focus on generating qualified leads through HubSpot, SEO and paid media.
You’ll manage budgets, campaigns and content, work with external partners, and position the business as a technical expert across sectors. This is a full‑time, office‑based role in a growing team with clear influence.
Do you want to be the person who builds marketing from the ground up, not someone who just maintains what's already there?
Could you unlock the full power of HubSpot and turn it into a genuine lead-generation engine?
Would you be happy knowing your success is measured on one thing above all: more leads?
If you're nodding along, read on.
My client is a well-established, independent B2B business that has been running for over 25 years. They supply specialist instrumentation from leading international manufacturers into sectors including science and technology, nuclear, food, farming, pharma, energy and universities. Over the last few years they've grown from a team of 4 to around 14. They did it by investing in good people and putting profits back into the business, and it certainly shows in the culture.
Growth to date has come from a strong sales team and loyal customers. The next stage needs marketing alongside sales, so this is their first dedicated marketing hire and a genuinely pivotal one.
You'll report directly to the two directors and own marketing end to end. There's no formal strategy in place yet, so you'll help shape it from day one and then deliver it. You'll need to hit the ground running.
You'll be responsible for:
Here's what makes it interesting: this is really several mini businesses under one umbrella. In some sectors buyers care most about what an instrument can do. In others, price is the deciding factor. Different sectors and products each need their own approach, so no two campaigns will look the same.
