Job Title: Marketing Manager

Salary: £35,200 - £45,700

Location: Cambridge, UK - Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)

Contract: Fixed term until end of November 2027

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to join the schools marketing team and lead on an exciting portfolio of products and global multi-channel marketing campaigns. Set for ambitious plans within our English product group, our sector marketing teams are focused on creating marketing campaigns that are aligned to growth and deliver results.

About the role

As part of the global marketing team, you will play a key role in bringing our marketing strategies to life through creative marketing campaigns. You'll think of new and engaging ways to meet our objectives and excite our customers – all aligned to our schools marketing strategy. As part of this role, you will:

  • be fundamental in delivering fully integrated marketing campaigns. You'll be involved in end to end multi-channel campaigns while also supporting other team members on a range of marketing projects.
  • work across all marketing tactics. From content creation to websites, videos and more, it's a great role to utilise all of your marketing skills and show your passion for marketing.
  • lead on the content development for our important newsletter for teachers that inspires thousands of teachers globally with monthly ideas, tips and inspiration.
  • work collaboratively with marketing colleagues in Cambridge and around the world to deliver the best campaigns we can.

This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. About You

As our Marketing Manager, you will have an excellent range of experience of delivering successful multi-channel marketing campaigns with a strong understanding of digital channels and how best to utilise them.

Our ideal candidate will:
  • Have proven project management experience and motivated approach to deadlines will ensure multiple projects are delivered on time. The role is fast paced and ever changing, so you need to be able to adapt and handle competing priorities
  • Know how to tailor content to different audiences and different channels. Exceptional copy writing skills are essential to write engaging, clear and effective content that delivers result
  • Be a self-starter. You're independent but also incredibly effective at building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional colleagues around the world
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people. You'll quickly build collaborative working relationships and confidently coordinate activity to drive projects forward
Desirable criteria
  • Be confident at using insights to inform their work. You will use this to understand our customers' needs and pain points and achieve exceptional results
  • Have knowledge or experience of English language learning, assessment, or marketing to schools and educator
  • Be a confident speaker and presenter, able to communicate ideas clearly
