Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd in Leeds is recruiting a commercially focused Marketing Manager to own the marketing activity and report to the Marketing Director.

This hands-on role shapes campaigns, content, digital activity and product positioning to strengthen brand visibility and drive growth across trade and consumer audiences.

The ideal candidate combines creativity with strong commercial awareness and will manage campaigns, digital channels, CRM, and supplier relationships within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Marketing Manager experience or equivalent in a commercial role.
• Strong digital marketing, planning and multi-channel know-how.
• Experience with CRM and marketing automation, especially HubSpot.
• HubSpot experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent copywriting and content management skills.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actions.
• Commercial, proactive, independent worker.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business who are seeking a commercially focused and creative Marketing Manager to take ownership of its marketing activity, reporting into the Marketing Director.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for developing and delivering marketing initiatives that strengthen brand visibility, generate demand and contribute directly to commercial growth across both trade and consumer audiences.

You'll play a key role in shaping campaigns, content, digital activity and product positioning, helping the business differentiate itself within a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of the wider marketing strategy in line with commercial objectives.
• Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, trade and retail channels.
• Take ownership of the company's digital marketing activity, including website management, SEO, email marketing and social media.
• Produce and oversee engaging marketing content, including product copy, website content, case studies, articles and blogs.
• Work closely with sales colleagues to generate qualified opportunities and improve customer conversion.
• Maintain a consistent brand identity across marketing materials, communications and customer touchpoints.
• Plan and coordinate product launches, promotional activity and seasonal campaigns.
• Monitor and evaluate marketing performance, using KPIs, ROI and wider data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, creative partners, designers and other suppliers.
• Take responsibility for managing marketing expenditure and ensuring budget is used effectively.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

We're looking for an experienced marketer who combines creativity with strong commercial awareness and a practical, hands‑on approach.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous experience as a Marketing Manager or in a comparable marketing position.
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing, campaign planning and multi-channel activity.
• Experience using CRM and marketing automation systems, with knowledge of platforms such as HubSpot highly desirable.
• Experience integrating HubSpot would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent written communication and copywriting ability, together with strong content management skills.
• Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
• A confident, analytical approach with the ability to turn marketing data and insight into tangible actions.
• A proactive, commercially minded attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership.

This role is paying a competitive salary of up to £55,000pa dependant on experience, and is a great opportunity to join a growing business and really drive the Marketing function of the business.
