Job description

Department Marketing - Reporting to Product

Contract Fixed-term (to cover maternity leave), 6 months (with potential to extend to 9 months), with the possibility of converting to a permanent role.

Start Date 14th September 2026

Expected Salary £29,000 - £34,000 (depending on experience)

About Above

Combining robotics, aerial inspection, digital twins and intelligent software through our SolarGain platform and mobile applications, we deliver actionable asset intelligence across the full lifecycle, from development and construction through commissioning and operations.

Our technology helps customers identify risks earlier, improve construction quality, increase operational efficiency and build a continuous digital record of every asset, enabling better decisions throughout its lifetime.

As a leader in the digital transformation of the solar industry, Above is helping owners and operators move from fragmented inspections to connected, data-driven lifecycle asset management.

We're growing fast, and marketing plays a real role in that: telling the story of what we build, bringing in the right customers, and helping the solar industry understand what's possible when data, software, and inspection expertise work together.

The Role

We're looking for a proactive Marketing Executive to cover maternity leave, stepping into the day-to-day running of our marketing activity. You'll take real ownership of content, campaigns, and events - not just supporting them - working closely with the Head of Product and wider team to keep marketing moving without a hitch.

This is a genuine opportunity to shape how a growing renewable-energy tech company tells its story, with the autonomy to make decisions and see the impact of your work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the planning, writing, and publishing of blogs, articles, case studies, newsletters, and website copy.
  • Lead LinkedIn content strategy - planning, creating, scheduling, and reviewing performance.
  • Run marketing campaigns and email activity end-to-end, including CRM updates and list management.
  • Manage website updates, SEO, and ongoing content optimisation.
  • Plan and deliver international events, exhibitions, and webinars, from concept through to promotion and follow-up.
  • Report on marketing performance monthly, using KPIs to shape recommendations for what to do next.
  • Maintain and evolve the content and campaign planners.
  • Keep the team ahead of emerging trends, including how AI tools can support content creation and website performance.
  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for marketing, liaising confidently with stakeholders across the business.
About You

You've got 1-3 years' experience in a marketing role and are comfortable owning your own workload with minimal oversight. You are digitally savy, organised, proactive, confident managing multiple tasks, and eager to learn.

You're confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving, collaborative environment, and you bring ideas rather than waiting to be told what to do next.

What We're Looking For
  • 1-3 years' experience in a marketing role, ideally covering content, campaigns, and events.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI tools to support content creation, planning, and lead generation - this is core to how we work, not an add-on skill.
  • Confidence managing marketing activity independently, with strong attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience with social media, Canva, SEO, email marketing, and CRM systems; video editing is a plus.
  • Degree in Marketing, or a related field preferred, but not essential with the right experience.
  • A genuine interest in technology, sustainability, or renewable energy is a plus.
Why Join Above
  • Real ownership from day one - this isn't a support role, it's a chance to run marketing activity yourself.
  • Work in a fast-growing company at the intersection of drone technology, software, and renewable energy.
  • A collaborative, fast-paced team where good ideas get heard.
