Job description

At IKAWA, we’re passionate about transforming the coffee industry through precision roasting technology. Our innovative sample roasters are used by professionals around the world to improve quality, consistency, and sustainability in coffee sourcing. We are a small, collaborative team with big ambitions, and we’re looking for a driven and creative Marketing Executive to join us as we continue to grow.

Role Overview

As a Marketing Executive, you will play an important role in bridging marketing and sales efforts to drive commercial success and support business growth. You'll manage our social media channels, regularly update our website with engaging, fresh content and assist with innovative content creation, as well as provide light customer service and sales support, and ensure smooth administrative processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s ready to take the next step in their career and join a purpose-driven company where innovation is encouraged, and where career progression is supported.

Key Responsibilities:

The role includes the following responsibilities but is not limited to:

Social Media & Community:

  • Planning, creating, and scheduling content across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond to community questions or comments in line with our tone of voice.
  • Track and report on performance metrics and suggest improvements based on data insights.
  • Manage influencers relationships.

Website & Content Management:

  • Maintain and update website content using our CMS (e.g., product pages, blog posts, customer stories).
  • Ensure all website assets reflect our brand and product messaging.
  • Manage content uploads, campaign landing pages, and on-page SEO and GEO updates.

Customer Experience:

  • Support basic customer service via email and social media (e.g. enquiries, campaigns, product information).
  • Help identify common questions or feedback that can inform marketing content and FAQs.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing to ensure messaging alignment.

Content Coordination & Campaigns:

  • Create consistent, brand compliant graphics/collateral to support your campaigns by leveraging tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and/or Canva.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify where future campaigns should be focused and who our target audience is for those campaigns.
  • Draft marketing emails, newsletters, product & partnership announcements and educational content.
  • Curate content, images for all platforms, brochures and merchandise.
  • Coordinate internal timelines for content production with our design and product teams.
  • Help manage content libraries, image databases, and product assets.
  • Become Ikawa’s brand guardian, ensuring a cohesive look and feel across all external and internal platforms.

Marketing Administration:

  • Provide general support with meeting scheduling, campaign tracking, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Help keep our project management tools up-to-date and organised.
  • Assist in coordinating events, product launches, and partnerships (occasional international travel required).
  • Support Sales & Customer support teams with day to day operations.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to align marketing campaigns with sales goals and identify key customer segments.
  • Assist in the creation of sales enablement tools such as pitch decks, product sheets, and case studies.
  • Support the execution of lead generation campaigns and track performance through relevant KPIs.
  • Coordinate email marketing efforts to engage prospects and nurture leads throughout the sales funnel.
  • Help optimise product listings and promotional materials across eCommerce platforms to drive conversion.
  • Participate in identifying, profiling, and qualifying potential leads in partnership with the sales team, while serving as the initial point of contact for incoming enquiries.
  • Monitor competitors' marketing and sales tactics to inform strategy and highlight opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of materials for trade shows, demos, and customer-facing events.

The ideal Candidate:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a marketing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • A proficient understanding of the marketing funnel and how to optimise campaigns accordingly.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, basic graphic tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva), and CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress or Shopify).
  • Highly organised and proactive with a willingness to learn.
  • A passion for specialty coffee and sustainability is a big plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Marketo).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or helpdesk platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Zendesk).
  • Understanding of eCommerce and digital marketing principles.
  • Understanding of the Specialty Coffee sector, cupping, flavour profiles and coffee grading knowledge.

Why IKAWA?
