Location: Birmingham (Hybrid work pattern)
6-month Contract

Hays Recruitment is excited to announce a new interim opportunity to support Birmingham City Council in enhancing the utilisation and revenue of their outdoor and community spaces across the city. This role is ideal for an individual with a background in event planning and experience in supporting local councils in developing their events programs, or those who have worked in similar environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct research to identify potential uses and revenue streams for outdoor and community spaces.
  2. Collaborate with Birmingham City Council to develop and implement strategies for event planning and space utilisation.
  3. Analyse data and provide insights to optimise the council's events program.
  4. Engage with community stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure events meet local needs.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in event planning and management.
  2. Previous experience working with local councils or similar organisations.
  3. Strong research and analytical skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
