Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a creative Marketing & Communications Officer based in Sawtry, with travel to other trust sites. You will help plan and run multi-channel campaigns, craft press releases, manage branding with agencies and produce promotional materials.

This role supports schools and communities by sharing their stories and highlighting achievements across the trust. You will work with the Marketing & Communications Manager, engage with multiple stakeholders, and use data to refine

Responsibilities

  • Plan and produce multi-channel marketing and communications activity to support the Trust’s objectives.
  • Produce press releases and written content to promote the Trust and schools.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to develop the trust brand and campaigns.
  • Design promotional content and materials using various software packages.
  • Support projects and initiatives as directed by the Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including agencies, senior management, colleagues, students, employers, media and suppliers.
  • Use data and insight to review campaigns and drive continuous improvement.

VACANCY FOR MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Meridian Trust

(This role will be based in Sawtry, however travel is required between all other trust sites.)

Meridian Trust Support PayScale, Grade 8 £32,061 (Actual Annual Salary)

Hours of work: 37 Hours a week, 52 weeks per year

We're looking for a creative and organised Marketing & Communications Officer to join our growing team. You'll be a storyteller and an enabler, showcasing achievements from across our schools and Trust, celebrating the successes of our pupils and colleagues, and helping our communities understand the work we do every day. Working across a wide range of marketing and communications activities, from content and PR to branding, digital campaigns and internal communications, you'll help deliver our Communications Strategy and support our schools to share their own stories with confidence and impact.

The Opportunity
  • With the Marketing and Communications Manager, support the planning and production, of a cycle of multi-channel marketing and communications activity to support the objectives of the Trust’s strategic plan.
  • Working with the Marketing and Communications Manager to produce press releases and written content to promote the Trust and schools.
  • Working with the Marketing and Communications Manager and external agencies to develop the trust brand, delivering a range of on and offline communication activities including, but not limited to: social media marketing, website content, digital advertising, traditional media and events.
  • Design and produce promotional content and materials for the Trust and be knowledgeable on various software packages to undertake this.
  • Support projects and initiatives as determined by the Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Liaise with, and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders including, but not limited to: marketing agencies, senior management, colleagues, students, employers, media and third-party suppliers.
  • Contribute towards service development and innovation, by reviewing and implementing procedures and appraising campaigns and activities using data and insight, to deliver continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate
  • Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English.
  • Educated to A-level standard.
  • Extensive experience of working in an office environment.
  • Experience of marketing and communication activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of people across the Trust.
  • Ability to work creatively.
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to completing tasks.
