Job summary

Denefield School in Reading is seeking a creative Marketing & Communications Officer to elevate our communications. You will help tell our story to families, students and partners, turning everyday school life into engaging content across digital, print and in-person channels.

You will lead on how the school presents itself, create photographs and videos, manage social media, prepare weekly bulletins for parents, promote events and celebrate student achievements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, communications or digital content.
  • Strong storytelling and content creation skills.
  • Comfort with social media and digital tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong visual presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on how the school presents itself across digital, print and in-person channels.
  • Create engaging content using photography, videography and creative skills.
  • Manage and develop the school's social media and digital presence.
  • Prepare content for weekly and termly bulletins for parents/carers.
  • Promote student achievements, events and key school messages.
  • Identify and develop compelling stories from across school life.
  • Support and attend evening events to capture high-quality content.
  • Work with colleagues to produce marketing materials for activities.
  • Support alumni engagement, fundraising initiatives and community partnerships.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all communications as a brand ambassador.

Key responsibilities

  • You may have experience in marketing, communications or digital content-or be looking to bring relevant skills from another sector into a school environment.
