Portsmouth City Council is recruiting a Marketing Communications Administrative Assistant for the marketing and corporate communications team on a fixed-term basis. The role involves a mix of administrative duties and entry-level communications tasks to support the council’s corporate communications service.
You will help with creating content, distributing bulletins, updating web pages, and posting on social media while assisting with campaign delivery and procurement processes.
We have a vacancy for a motivated and organised Marketing Communications Administrative Assistant to join our marketing and corporate communications team on a fixed term basis.
This is a Fixed term contract up to 8 months.
Reporting to a senior member of the marketing communications team, the post holder will provide a combination of administrative and entry level communications support to the council's corporate communications service.
The role includes providing basic communications support, such as building and distributing email bulletins, drafting straightforward web pages, articles and news releases, and updating content online. The post holder will also help schedule and monitor social media posts across a range of platforms, supporting the team's digital communications activity.
The role will involve assisting with campaign delivery and evaluation by helping to track activity, distribute publications and provide administrative support for marketing initiatives. Responsibilities will also include booking print and advertising, raising and processing invoices, and ensuring materials are distributed accurately and on time.
