Work Type: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 0830 - 1630

ASCO is seeking an experienced, strategic and hands‑on Marketing Campaign Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated campaigns across the organisation, with a strong focus on digital marketing and communications.

This is a pivotal role for a commercially minded marketing professional who can combine strategic thinking with strong delivery. The postholder will lead integrated marketing and communications campaigns across PR, digital, content, brand, internal and external communications, events and stakeholder engagement, helping to strengthen ASCO’s profile, support business growth, protect and enhance reputation, and ensure consistency of message across international markets.

Working across a complex international organisation, the role will develop joined‑up marketing and communications plans that position ASCO effectively with customers, partners, industry stakeholders, employees and wider audiences. The successful candidate will bring a clear understanding of how to align brand, communications and demand generation activity with business priorities, market opportunities and audience needs.

Strategic Leadership & Planning
  • Build and manage an annual global marketing campaign plan and calendar, ensuring the right messages reach the right audiences through the right channels at the right time, and are fully aligned with the priorities and objectives of the business service lines and regional plans.
  • For each campaign, lead the planning and execution of the full marketing mix, ensuring activity across PR, digital, campaigns, content, social media, events, internal communications and brand is coordinated, effective and measurable.
  • Provide expert advice and direction to senior stakeholders on marketing, brand positioning, communications strategy and audience engagement.
  • Ensure all activity supports business development, reputation management, customer engagement and strategic growth.
Campaigns & Demand Generation
  • Plan and deliver integrated, digitally led campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, lead generation, and conversion.
  • Use customer insight, market trends, and business priorities to create audience-focused campaigns.
  • Oversee delivery across digital, email, web, social, paid media, content, events, and partner channels.
  • Define objectives, KPIs, and success measures; analyse performance to optimise ROI.
  • Collaborate with business development to support pipeline growth.
  • Lead content strategy, ensuring high-quality, digitally optimised, audience-focused materials.
  • Manage budgets, monitor performance, and continuously improve channels, processes, and ways of working.
Communications & PR
  • Develop communications plans for announcements, thought leadership, strategic change, and crisis management.
  • Oversee creation of press releases, corporate updates, leadership messaging, articles, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure all communications are on brand, aligned with ASCO’s tone, values, and positioning.
  • Strengthen market profile through compelling storytelling and clear messaging.
  • Support internal communications to keep colleagues informed and engaged.
Stakeholder & Agency Management
  • Build collaborative relationships across leadership, commercial teams, operations, and HR.
  • Translate complex information into clear, engaging communications with stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Manage external agencies and suppliers to ensure clear briefs, strong delivery, and value for money.
  • Work across international teams, balancing global consistency with local relevance.
Person Specification Essential

  • Proven experience delivering integrated marketing strategies across PR, campaigns, digital, content, and brand.
  • Strong digital marketing skills, including SEO, marketing automation, CRM, analytics, and content optimisation.
  • Experience in media relations, reputation management, and measuring campaign effectiveness.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; budget and agency management experience. Desirable
  • Experience in B2B or complex sectors (industrial, logistics, energy, defence).
  • Experience in matrix organisations across multiple regions.
  • Relevant degree or professional marketing/communications qualification.
Skills & Attributes
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness, confident and credible at all levels.
