Job description

Carhartt WIP is part of the WIP Trading AG. Our family-owned business group started as a licensee and European distributor of the US workwear manufacturer Carhartt in the early 1990s. Since then, it develops its own collections based on workwear originals.

Carhartt Work In Progress aims to continuously progress and evolve, without ever losing sight of its origins. Over the course of the past two decades, our business has developed organically, along with its customers, the culture that surrounds the brand, and its employees who have helped shape what Carhartt WIP is today.

Overview

Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working closely with the Marketing Coordinator, the Marketing Assistant will provide support to assist the department in reaching company marketing goals and objectives. The Marketing Assistant will have specific administrative responsibility and will be accountable for providing consistent support to all areas of Marketing in the UK & Ireland.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Support marketing team in executing all marketing activities, including but not limited to:
  • Mirroring the Carhartt Work In Progress global marketing plan in the UK/IR market
  • Supporting with research, development and production of B2B & B2C marketing
  • Manage showroom samples for shoots, book in / out of showroom, courier ship to destinations on time
  • Organise and manage model castings and fittings
  • Support with social media for both UK and IRL
  • Retail and wholesale event production support, including special releases, anniversary events, music in stores, club nights, artist gifting etc.
  • Assist in supporting wholesale customers with marketing activities, e.g. in store events, special product, anniversary projects, Point of sale installations and any other marketing requirements
  • Research and coordination external advertising, printed and digital advertising opportunities including billboards
  • Proficient in keynote to support with generating monthly reporting processes, social media reports, press notes and proposals etc.
  • Site visits to Carhartt WIP retail stores, wholesale customers, venues, collaborative partners and any other location required at any time through the UK
  • Seeding and gifting to relevant WIP community: key opinion leaders, musicians, artists and other creatives.

Your Profile:

This is an entry level marketing position and would be ideal for a graduate in marketing or someone currently studying

  • Basic understanding of marketing principles
  • Written and Verbal Communication, Interpersonal, Communication, Creativity, Teamwork, Planning, Commercial awareness, Numerical skills, IT skills are essential
  • Excellent knowledge of computer software- MS-Office / KeyNote / Project Planning / Scheduling
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite e.g. Photoshop / Illustrator / inDesign
  • Some experience using online applications including social media platforms and associated programmes
  • High level of self-organisation, communication, multitasking and ability to work independently
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of fashion / trends, music, skate, art and sub-cultures
