About the Role

Reporting to the Co-Production Communications and Marketing Manager, this role will support the marketing and communication activities of the Co-Production and Public Engagement team. Responsibilities include supporting the delivery of our web and social media presence, external communications such as blog posts and monthly newsletters, and collaborating with project partners to publicise our work. You will also facilitate and organise events for our community interested in co-production. Additionally, for UCL Public Engagement, you will support internal communications, including our monthly newsletter and social media presence.

This role offers a great opportunity to learn and develop within the team. It is suitable for someone with proven experience in coordinating marketing and communications who is proactive, flexible, and passionate about creating lasting change through co-production. The candidate should be capable of building relationships with a diverse range of people.

Main Purpose of the Job

To coordinate internal and external communications and marketing for the Co-Production and Public Engagement Team, under the guidance of the Co-Production & Communications Manager, aligning with the UCL Strategic Plan 2022-27 and the Co-Production Collective strategy 'Our Direction 2023-28'.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate the development and delivery of Co-Production Collective communications and marketing, including blog posts, monthly newsletters, email inbox management, website updates, and social media, ensuring alignment with our values and reporting on progress.
  2. Coordinate UCL Public Engagement's internal communications, including managing our LinkedIn and Bluesky social media accounts, to raise awareness of the team's services across UCL.
  3. Lead the administration of Co-Production Collective events, networking sessions (such as CoPro Cuppas), and workshops, ensuring they reflect our values. This includes updating marketing and communication plans, sharing joining information, and responding to inquiries.
  4. Promote the services offered by Co-Production Collective and implement activities to grow our community, increase awareness, and generate income.
  5. Develop processes to support the growth of the Collective.
  6. Build relationships with community members with lived experience and groups involved in our work.
