Job summary

Sonar is seeking a Marketing AI Engineer to design, build, and maintain AI agents and automated workflows that multiply the impact of the marketing function. You will work with marketing stakeholders to understand processes, identify automation opportunities, and iterate until reliable, scalable automations deliver measurable gains.

The role requires hands-on experience in marketing operations, familiarity with no-code tools, and proficiency in Python/JavaScript.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in marketing operations or automation engineering.
• Hands-on knowledge of marketing processes and tools (CRM, marketing automation, analytics).
• Experience with no-code/low-code platforms (Make, Zapier, n8n) and scripting when needed.
• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks (LangChain, Claude Agent SDK) or willingness to learn.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs (Salesforce, HubSpot, GA, Marketo).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to build dashboards and reporting.
• Clear communicator to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Map and prioritize automation opportunities with marketing teams.
• Design and build AI agents and workflows for marketing processes.
• Deploy and maintain automations with full lifecycle ownership.
• Produce efficiency and impact reporting with dashboards for leadership.
• Stay current on AI tooling and evaluate new models/platforms.
• Partner with Marketing Tooling & AI Operations to integrate with the stack.
• Ensure data quality, governance and auditability across workflows.
• Document deployed agents and enable the marketing team to use them.
