Job Purpose

This dynamic role within the ICE Futures Europe (IFEU) Market Regulation department will support the team in ensuring that IFEU and its Members satisfy their regulatory obligations. The Market Regulation Analyst will demonstrate excellent analytical and investigative skills, will be proficient in critically examining and interpreting data, writing reports, have strong interpersonal skills, an interest in finance, and have a keen aptitude for research.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in Member-facing engagements with senior stakeholders at Member firms, such as investment banks, algorithmic trading firms, brokerages and proprietary trading firms.
  • Interrogate relevant data points to identify suspect trading behaviour.
  • Prepare reports for colleagues and senior management.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to telephone and email enquiries from Members and market participants.
  • Issue correspondence to Members and otherwise assist with Exchange investigations in relation to suspected instances of rule breaches ensuring cases are managed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the calculation and publication of the ICE Brent Index.
  • Assist with the review and publication of open interest and Exchange position reporting.
  • Undertake ad-hoc project work.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (Finance, Mathematics, Law, Engineering or similar).
  • Strong IT literacy skills.
  • Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, interacting effectively at all levels, including with external stakeholders.
  • Proficient at identifying various issues and working efficiently to resolve problems.
  • Enthusiastic approach and a drive to continually improve and develop working practices and industry knowledge.
  • Strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and to deadlines.
