Job description

Job Title: Market Director - UK & Ireland Infrastructure

We are seeking a Market Director to expand our presence in the UK and Ireland's infrastructure and transportation markets. Working with our Senior Market Director, you will oversee the development of our client and contractor portfolio across sectors such as bridges, structures, ground engineering, civil/underground engineering, highways, marine, and rail.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Driving business development activities to meet growth targets in our sectors across the UK and Ireland.
  2. Building and maintaining effective networks with clients and partners, developing design and build opportunities.
  3. Identifying early opportunities to increase our project pipeline and success rate.
  4. Regularly updating the UK Pipeline for focus areas and managing the Go / No Go process.
  5. Leading the capture and bid processes for major and regional projects, collaborating with technical and bid support teams.
  6. Developing and implementing bid-winning strategies, including commercial offerings.
  7. Delivering high-quality proposals and maintaining customer focus and continuity.
  8. Managing key accounts and frameworks, and participating in COWI UK's market leadership team.
  9. Contributing to strategic planning and technical development initiatives.
  10. Sharing market and customer insights with UK and Group leadership teams.

  4. A strong technical background in relevant sectors and effective leadership in work-winning.
  5. An established network of contacts in the UK and Ireland, including clients, contractors, and partners.
  6. Good understanding of legal, contractual, and financial issues in the sector.
  7. Strong relationship-building skills with clients and partners.
  8. Experience in developing major proposals and market initiatives within consulting or engineering industries.
