Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to hire a 'Market Data Specialist' within their global Data team.
Working as part of a lean team of leading professionals in the buy-side data space, you will report directly to the Global Head of Data. You will collaborate with various global functions to ensure efficient management and improvement of internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Refinitiv.
The role combines commercial and hands-on data and vendor management responsibilities. You will manage market data vendors, oversee contracts (licensing, renewals, usage analysis), and handle onboarding of new partners. You will also contribute to major projects aimed at improving internal data usage, spend management, procurement processes, and integration of new tools for the team.
This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM, Market Data Analyst, or Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor. Exceptional juniors seeking to advance may also be considered. Candidates must be comfortable working in a lean team and taking a hands-on approach. A strong academic background is required.
The client is committed to offering a competitive salary with a significant increase over the candidate's current base. Top performers typically receive large bonuses, and the firm offers an industry-leading benefits package.
