Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to hire a 'Market Data Specialist' to sit within their global Data team.
Working as part of a lean team of leading professionals in the buy-side data space, you will report directly to the Global Head of Data. You will collaborate with different functions globally to manage and improve internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Refinitiv.
The role combines commercial and hands-on data and vendor management responsibilities. You will work with and manage market data vendors, handle licensing, renewals, usage analysis, and onboarding of new partners. Additionally, you will play a key role in projects to enhance internal data usage, spend management, procurement lifecycle, and integration of new tools for the team.
This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM, Market Data Analyst, or Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor, though exceptional juniors may be considered. Candidates must be comfortable working in a lean team and taking a hands-on approach. A strong academic profile is preferred.
The client is committed to offering a competitive salary with significant increases for successful hires. Top performers typically receive large bonuses, and the firm offers an industry-leading benefits package.
