Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to make a newly created 'Market Data Specialist' hire to sit within their global Data team.
Working as part of a lean team of leading professionals within the buy-side data space, you will report directly to the Global Head of Data. You will collaborate with different functions globally to ensure that internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders (such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv) are managed efficiently.
The role combines commercial and hands-on data and vendor management responsibilities, including managing market data vendors, contracts, licensing, renewals, usage analysis, and onboarding new partners. You will also contribute to major projects to improve internal data usage, spend management, procurement lifecycle, and integration of new tools.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM / Market Data Analyst / Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor. Exceptional juniors seeking to step up may also be considered. Candidates must be comfortable working in a lean team and taking a hands-on approach. A strong academic profile is preferred.
