Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to make a newly created 'Market Data Specialist' hire to sit within their global Data team.
Working as part of a lean team of leading professionals in the buy-side data space, you will report directly to the Global Head of Data. You will collaborate with different functions globally to ensure that internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders (such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv) are managed efficiently and smoothly.
The core responsibilities include managing market data vendors, all relevant contracts (licensing, renewals, usage analysis), onboarding new partners, and playing a key role in projects to improve internal data usage, spend management, procurement lifecycle, and integration of new tools.
This role offers the chance to join a highly collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM / Market Data Analyst / Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor. Exceptional juniors seeking to step up may also be considered. Candidates must be willing to work in a lean team and adopt a hands-on approach. A strong academic profile is required.
