Job summary

Nomura in London is seeking a Market Data Content, Business Analyst for a 12-month contract in Wholesale Data & Ops Technology. The role partners with global stakeholders to manage market data content, governance and cost optimisation.

You will engage with Business Units, external data providers, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data services and value delivery while maintaining high standards of communication and analysis.

Qualifications

• A seasoned professional with sufficient knowledge of trade life cycle, markets and products gained through work experience.
• Experience working in an investment bank or broker/dealer environment (Middle Office and/or Operations welcome).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills enabling liaison with Nomura senior management and other key stakeholders.
• A self motivator who is a fast learner and able to work proactively to identify opportunities for process improvement and/or realising cost save.
• Must have good analytical skills and a strong attention to detail. The ability to question existing practises/procedures, ensuring efficiency and recognition of streamlining opportunities are all key.
• A strong sense of customer service and the abilty to prioritise workload and the expectations of internal clients.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing market data relationships between Business Stakeholders and External Data Providers
• Authority to approve or reject market data service requests, ensuring alignment with firm cost and / or domain strategy
• Oversight of market data trials and implementations for each Business Unit
• Oversight of market data renewals and cancellations for each Business Unit
• Lead market data cost optimisation initiatives and provide advisory services to Business Units
