Job summary

HR Wallingford in Wallingford, UK, invites graduates to join the Maritime & Ships Division as a Graduate Engineer/Scientist. You will work with a team of specialists on major projects worldwide, within our UK Ship Simulation Centre, offices and physical modelling hall.

You will engage in mooring assessments, ship simulation studies and data processing, and you will develop your numerical/engineering skills in a collaborative environment with flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in maths, engineering, ship science or any other numerate discipline.
• Strong numerical and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with data handling and spreadsheets; basic programming knowledge is useful.

Responsibilities

• Perform mooring assessments using dynamic mooring analysis tools to ensure safe berthing.
• Operate the UK Ship Simulator as part of the simulation team to assess port design for vessel navigation.
• Operate scale physical models for experiments and validation.
• Process data and report results for client-facing presentations.
