Job summary

British Marine Limited is seeking a reliable yard operative to join our busy marine yard. The role requires a solid understanding of health and safety procedures, good communication, and teamwork to support antifouling and general boat maintenance.

Responsibilities include carrying out daily equipment checks, assisting deliveries, lifting boats, loading and unloading to transport, and chocking boats onto the hardstanding, with training provided for lifting if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Marine and Boating Environment is preferable.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable, careful and professional approach.
• Experience lifting boats would be an advantage, training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Antifouling and general boat maintenance.
• General yard duties including organising equipment and materials.
• Carrying out daily equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures.
• Assisting drivers and yard staff with deliveries and collections.
• Lifting boats out of and into the water.
• Loading and unloading boats to transport.
• Chocking boats onto the hardstanding.
