Job summary

Scottish Sea Farms Ltd is seeking a Marine Technician for our Ronas Voe farm in Shetland. You will join a small farm team to care for salmon, operate boats, and support daily activities in a dynamic outdoor setting.

Full training is provided, with potential for career progression across the business. Applicants must be reliable, take pride in safety, and be willing to learn new skills. This role offers excellent opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience isn't essential.
  • attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are valued; full training and development are provided.
  • Applicants must be able to achieve and maintain an ML5 or ENG1 medical.

  • Feeding and monitoring our fish.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of fish health and welfare.
  • Operating boats and supporting daily farm activities.
  • Carrying out routine husbandry and maintenance.

What you'll be doing

Working as part of a small farm team, you'll help care for our salmon while ensuring our marine sites operate safely and efficiently.

Your day could include:

  • Feeding and monitoring our fish
  • Maintaining the highest standards of fish health and welfare
  • Operating boats and supporting daily farm activities
  • Carrying out routine husbandry and maintenance
  • Working as one team to produce premium Scottish salmon

Hours

40 hours per week, working any 5 days from 7.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship, so applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
