Job summary

Solid Talent in Hampshire is seeking a Production Engineer to join the engineering team. You will bridge design, production and supply chain, establishing and maintaining production data, BOMs, SOPs and ERP/MRP workflows while supporting ongoing manufacturing system modernisation.

You will work on cost-effective manufacturing methods, create accurate documentation, and drive continuous improvement across production processes and digital tools in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Process Engineer in a manufacturing/precision engineering setting.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining BOMs, routings, and methods of manufacture.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and interrogate mechanical, structural and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate, cost-effective manufacturing methods for new and existing components and assemblies.
• Create, manage, and maintain accurate BOMs, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Issue production work packs with engineering drawings, BOMs, job travellers and operational documentation.
• Input and maintain material, routing, and labour costing data within ERP/MRP systems.
• Administer ECRs and ensure configuration control across manufacturing records.
• Review booked production hours and lead times, investigate variances.
• Act as technical on-site contact for manufacturing queries and issues.
• Review drawings for DfM suitability prior to release.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across production workflows and digital tools.
