Job summary
NavCom Service Engineers in the UK is seeking experienced Marine Service Engineers for permanent roles based in Redhill, Surrey, with UK-wide coverage and opportunities in several offshore regions. Responsibilities include installation, repair and maintenance of GMDSS equipment, navigational gear, VSAT broadband, and involvement in retrofit bridge projects.
Candidates should have 3+ years in marine service engineering, an IT/engineering education, a driving licence, passport, and be able to pass
Qualifications
- Good standard at a higher level HNC/ONC/NVQ Level or equivalent national standard
- Preferably IT/Engineering based education/qualification
- Current Driving Licence
- Able to pass marine/offshore worker medical examination
- Valid Passport
- 3+ Years of Marine Service Engineer experience
- In-depth knowledge of electronic/electrical engineering
- GMDSS Radio Operator / Maintainer License preferred
Responsibilities
- VDR-APTs
- Radio Surveys
- Installation, repair and maintaining GMDSS Equipment
- Installation, repair and maintaining Navigational equipment
- Installation, repair and maintaining VSAT Satellite Broadband
- Working on Retrofit projects completing whole bridge installs and large system integrations
