Job summary

Elvis Eckardt Recruitment is looking for a Marine Service Engineer to support various vessels in the SatCom and Maritime sector. You will work with leading manufacturers, installing and maintaining vital communication and navigation systems across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate needs a Higher National Certificate in a relevant field, extensive engineering experience, and the ability to travel internationally. The position offers numerous benefits including training opportunities and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Marine Service Engineer.
• Ability to pass a marine/offshore medical examination.
• Valid passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform VDR Annual Performance Tests (VDR-APTs).
• Conduct radio surveys and inspections.
• Install, repair, and maintain GMDSS communication equipment.
• Work on retrofit projects, completing full bridge system installations.

Skills

Knowledge of electronic and electrical engineering principles

Marine Service Engineering experience

GMDSS Radio Operator / Maintainer Licence

Full, clean driving licence

Education

Higher National Certificate (HNC), ONC, NVQ Level or equivalent

Education in IT or engineering-related field
