Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Manual Machining Training Instructor in Gosport to support marine engineering education. This permanent, full-time role leverages practical workshop expertise to coach and inspire trainees; full teacher training and ongoing support will be provided, so previous teaching experience is not essential.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background, preferably mechanical engineering or fabrication.
• Experience with hand tools and machinery in a workshop.
• Willingness to learn and undergo full training.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality training in mechanical craft, fabrication and core engineering competencies.
• Introducing and developing practical hand skills, including fitting and filing.
• Teaching trainees to interpret and understand basic technical drawings.
• Providing instruction on safe use of workshop equipment, hand tools and machinery.
