Salary: Up to £39,992 per annum, plus £3,000 per annum market supplement

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Marine engineering & boat building are key parts of Southampton College’s Marine provision at our dedicated Marine Skills Centre in Woolston. It is a specialist curriculum area with high achievement and retention rates, delivering courses to full-time learners, adults, and apprentices.

We offer a fantastic opportunity to join our dedicated and dynamic team of professionals and deliver outstanding teaching to those working or seeking employment in the Marine industry.

The role is suitable for an applicant with recent experience in Marine Engineering and/or boat building within manufacturing or maintenance roles, with excellent knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved in the marine industry at both local and national levels. The curriculum is practically led, so hands-on experience is essential.

You will need to work flexibly to meet requirements, have a good team ethic, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to excellence is essential. Knowledge of the curriculum and broad trends within the Marine Electrical & Engineering industry is desirable.
