Job summary

Marine Resources Limited is recruiting an experienced GRP Finisher to join a busy marine composites manufacturing team based in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire. You will carry out GRP finishing, including sanding, fairing and surface preparation, ensuring a high-quality finish on marine components.

This ongoing contract offers 40+ hours per week, LTD or Umbrella payment options at £21–£23 per hour, and a requirement to work to production deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in GRP finishing within a marine, boatbuilding or composites environment.
• Good practical skills in sanding, fairing, filling and surface preparation.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable and proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• GRP finishing, including sanding, fairing and surface preparation.
• Filling imperfections and carrying out remedial work on composite components.
• Trimming, shaping and preparing components for final finishing.
• Identifying surface defects and ensuring a high-quality finish.
• Working to production deadlines while maintaining excellent workmanship.
• Following workshop health and safety procedures.
