Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is offering a 12-month Industrial Placement Scheme in Wimborne, UK for Electrical Engineering. You will join Caterpillar Marine and work on electrical system and control development across marine products, with mentorship and exposure to strategic projects.

The role targets penultimate-year students, aiming for a minimum 2:1 Honours in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and participation in a global, inclusive team environment.

• Design of marine generator control systems and associated equipment.
• Wiring schematics & harness design.

• Component / sub-systems supplier review.
• Liaison with shop floor personnel on assembly/manufacture of product.
• Carry out all work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
