Job summary

Navantia UK in Methil is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Workpack Engineer to lead the E&I package for vessel builds. You will develop detailed work packages, liaise with design, planning and production teams, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires experience in shipbuilding or marine sectors, knowledge of marine electrical systems, interpreting drawings, and cost reporting. Security clearance BPSS may be required.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Instrumentation, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience within shipbuilding, marine engineering, defence, offshore, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of marine electrical and control systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Scheduling, reporting and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed E&I work packages for vessel build
• Review electrical and instrumentation design, output drawings, cable routing diagrams, schematics, and installation standards.
• Convert design information into clear, executable work instructions for production teams.
• Accountable for performance management through KPIs and schedule adherence
• Provide technical support to E&I supervisors and installation teams.
• Working closely with Design Engineering, Planning, Production, Supply Chain, and Commissioning teams.
• Manage the installation and commissioning of marine electrical, control, communications, navigation, and instrumentation systems.
• Ensure quality, inspection, testing, and handover requirements are incorporated into work packs.
• Promote compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
