Job summary

RHL Recruitment is seeking two Senior Marine Designers for a 6-month contract with a leading oil and gas EPC contractor. The role supports a Saudi Aramco offshore project, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior designers.

You will work in a hybrid Surrey office setup, liaising with global teams to meet milestones and budgets while delivering specialized marine design work using Aveva Marine.

Qualifications

• Marine & Structural Designer with formal qualification and/or significant on-the-job training.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in marine design.
• Strong proficiency in Aveva Marine.
• Demonstrable leadership experience managing remote teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willing to work 3 days per week in the Surrey office.

Marine Designer – Contract (6 Months)

Surrey | £52 per hour | Outside IR35 | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote)

RHL Recruitment, working with a leading oil and gas EPC contractor, who are seeking two experienced Senior Marine Designers to join a high-profile offshore project, on an initial 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a dynamic Marine Team, supporting the delivery of complex offshore design scopes while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across global offices.

The Role

As a Marine Designer, you will:

• Support and lead within the Marine Team, working on a Saudi Aramco project.

• Liaise closely with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors

• Coordinate with global project teams to deliver work within agreed timelines and budgets

• Provide technical guidance and mentor Junior designers

• Manage and oversee remote design teams

Contract Details

• Rate: £52 per hour

• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
