Job summary

Claims Recruitment Services is recruiting for a Claims Adjuster in Poole, United Kingdom. You will handle claims from cradle to grave, including FNOL setup, evidence gathering, and reviewing policy wording to determine coverage.

The role involves inputting MI for Bordereaux and processing payments, with focus on marine claims management. The successful candidate will work in a specialist marine claims environment, requiring strong communication skills and experience within the insurance industry

Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance industry as a Claims Adjuster or similar.
• Evidence of previous experience considering and determining policy coverage.
• Desire to specialise in a niche area of the insurance industry.
• Computer literate with MS Office and Adobe.
• Strong and professional communication skills.
• Able to follow instructions and work to deadlines with challenging workloads.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls; gather FNOL details and review policy terms.
• Set up new claims in the bespoke Claims Management System.
• Handle introductory calls and emails to policyholders after FNOL.
• Request supporting evidence from policyholders and/or brokers to progress claims.
• Assess policy coverage.
• Complete quantum and adjustment calculations from evidence and policy wording.
• Correspond with insurers regarding policy interpretation, coverage, repudiations and approvals for claims outside Delegated Authority.
• Process AML / Sanctions searches and claims payments including MI.
• Investigate subrogation opportunities.
