Job summary

Vanguard Tech Broking, a City of London marine insurance broker, is seeking a broker with solid Hull & Machinery and War Risk experience to join our team. You’ll broking H&M and War Risk business and help grow the Hull & Machinery book.

The role offers FCA and Lloyd's market exposure, independence in the London market, and opportunities for professional development, including CII study support.

Qualifications

• Around 3 years' broking experience in hull & machinery.
• Experience placing war risk cover.
• Cert CII (or working towards) preferred.
• Established or developing relationships with H&M and war risk underwriters.
• Strong negotiation and client relationship skills.
• Comfortable working independently in the London market.

Responsibilities

• Broking and placing hull & machinery cover, negotiating terms and pricing with underwriters
• Managing a portfolio of H&M renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments
• Acting as the primary broking contact for clients, building and maintaining underwriter relationships
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with FCA and Lloyd's market requirements

The Role

You’ll broke Hull & Machinery and War Risk business and also be integral in growing the Hull and Machinery book.
