J.P. Morgan Bournemouth-based client services team is seeking a Margin and Collateral Associate to support collateral management for buy-side clients. You will monitor collateral, communicate with clients, and build relationships with internal partners in a controlled environment.

You will handle collateral calls, ensure accuracy, and participate in testing to enhance infrastructure. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of ISDA/GMRA are advantageous.

Qualifications

• External client services experience with senior/internal clients.
• High accuracy and attention to detail; follow procedures.
• Numeracy and proficiency with the Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work in a team and manage busy periods such as month-end.
• Knowledge of OTC derivatives collateral management and ISDA/GMRA documentation.

Responsabilités

• Interact with customers, generating collateral statements and calling clients for standard and non-standard agreements.
• Respond to collateral calls and compare them to JPM's exposure.
• Agree on collateral amounts and types; follow up on counterparty fails.
• Resolve queries regarding client portfolios, escalate issues, and handle disputes.
• Ensure accuracy when processing daily BAU.
• Process coupons on collateral and month-end cash collateral interest.
• Participate in projects and testing to enhance JPM operating infrastructure; occasional weekend testing may be required.
• Maintain knowledge of controls for firm-wide compliance.
• Build networks with key stakeholders.
• Engage Global Partners on change requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve process quality, control and productivity.

Join our Bournemouth based Client Service Representative team!

Do you have experience with buy-side clients and would like to utilize your communication skills? Then you found the right position!
As a Margin and Collateral Associate within our Collateral Services team, you will play a crucial role in mitigating counterparty risk. You will monitor and collect collateral for our trading businesses, make independent decisions, and build relationships with our priority buy-side clients and internal partners. This role offers the opportunity to work in a controlled environment, where your judgment and decision-making skills will be highly valued.

Job responsibilities

• Interacts with customers, generating collateral statements and sending calls to clients for both standard and non-standard agreements

• Answers incoming collateral calls sent by clients comparing them to JP Morgan's exposure

• Agrees on the amount and type of collateral to be moved. I.e. Cash or securities; follow up on anycounterparty fails

• Provides timely resolution of incoming queries regarding a client’s portfolio, escalation of issues, reconciliation and dispute resolution with regards to disputes or credit sensitive customers

• Ensures accuracy when processing and approvingdaily BAU

• Acts on agreement of coupons due on securities held as collateral & processing of month end tasks including the agreement of interest on any cash collateral held/delivered

• Participates in projects, testing to ensure JPM operating infrastructure continues to be enhanced and developed to meet the business needs (Occasional weekend testing support may be required)

• Maintains current knowledge on controls required to maintain firmwide compliance

• Builds strong networks with key stakeholder group

• Engages and influences Global Partners on change requirement

• Identifies areas for improving process quality, control and productivity

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• External Client services experience, or similar experience interacting with senior/demanding internal clients with strong client communication skills and an strong ability to build client relationships

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail is required with an ability to work with minimal supervision and in a methodical and organized manner and to follow procedures.

• Must be highly numerate with good keyboard and core system (Outlook, Excel, and Word) skills

• Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible during busy periods such as month end & self motivated and flexible approach to working hours

• Working knowledge of OTC Derivatives Collateral Management and supporting Legal documentation (E.g. ISDA, GMRA)
