Job summary

Esri is seeking a GIS Product Engineer II to advance ArcGIS Maps SDKs for native apps. You will work with cross‑functional teams to craft GIS datasets, maps, and sample code that illustrate API capabilities, while addressing developer needs and best practices.

You’ll collaborate on SDK environments (Kotlin, Qt, C#, Swift, Flutter, Python) and contribute to documentation, tutorials, and examples for the Esri ecosystem, based in Cardiff, UK.

Qualifications

• 2+ years GIS experience in modeling, analyzing, or presenting geospatial data.
• Proficiency with mapping, spatial data or GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Strong problem-solving and analytic skills.
• Experience with scripting/coding to support developer users.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, CS, engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Explore user challenges and provide feedback on UX.
• Gather requirements from software developers and translate into actionable changes.
• Build GIS datasets, maps, sample apps and articles to showcase capabilities.
• Collaborate across teams to design and validate new GIS datasets and workflows.
• Document technical topics and produce developer-focused documentation.
