ROLE: Manufacturing Technician

Salary: £12.21 - £12.77 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 16:30

Contract: Permanent

Location: On-Site - UK Doors Midlands, Tipton, West Midlands

We are recruiting a Manufacturing Technician to join our team in the production and assembly of roller garage doors.

Responsibilities of Our Manufacturing Technicians:
  1. Accurately measure materials
  2. Use circular saws and other cutting tools to cut materials to specified dimensions
  3. Follow build sheets and operate hand-held drills, rivet guns, circular saws, and measuring tools
  4. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all products meet quality standards
  5. Address discrepancies promptly
  6. Assemble components using drills, staple guns, and hand-held tools
  7. Perform basic electrical wiring tasks, ensuring proper connections and safety
  8. Verify that all products meet high-quality standards
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
  • Ability to read and understand build sheets and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques
  • Proficiency in using hand-held drills, rivet guns, circular saws, staple guns, and similar tools
  • Keen eye for quality and detail
  • Ability to identify and fix minor defects
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring principles and safe wiring practices
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills to identify production challenges
