You will lead a team to deliver the production plan, manage budgets, and drive improvements using lean methods. Previous FMCG management experience and 24/7 shift exposure are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous production or manufacturing management experience within FMCG is essential.
• Experience of budgetary control and cost management is essential.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate and develop a team.
• Ideally have experience of 24/7 operations across 12-hour shift patterns.
• Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of BRC standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a shift team to deliver departmental KPIs.
• Deliver the production plan and flag drift from target.
• Enforce site health, safety and food safety standards; complete accident investigations.
• Control raw material usage and direct labour, material and utility costs using SAP.
• Drive performance improvement through lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis.
• Manage shift handovers and report performance metrics.

Manufacturing Shift Manager (AM-PERM) Bathgate, Scotland

Salary: GBP44000 - GBP44000 per annum

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Manufacturing Shift Manager to join an established bakery production business based in Bathgate.

Our client operates a busy, modern bakery facility with a strong focus on developing its people. This is a genuine leadership role where you'll be taking full ownership of safety, quality, output and cost across your shift.

As a Manufacturing Shift Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching and developing a shift team to deliver departmental KPIs
• Delivering the supply chain production plan and flagging any drift from target
• Enforcing site health, safety and food safety standards, and completing accident investigations
• Controlling raw material usage and direct labour, material and utility costs using SAP
• Driving performance improvement through lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis
• Managing shift handovers, reporting performance metrics and cascading information to the team

To be considered as a Manufacturing Shift Manager, you will need:
