Job summary

PE Global is seeking a Project Engineer for a contract role with a multinational food manufacturing client based in Leominster. The role involves broad project management and engineering tasks, focusing on ATEX improvements across the facility.

You will lead projects up to £1MM, managing costs through ERP systems and coordinating with contractors to ensure safety and quality. Required are a BEng/MEng in Engineering (PMQ preferred) and 5–10 years in high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• APM PMQ or equivalent preferred.
• ATEX Regulations training or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing industry, preferably food, beverages or pharmaceutical.
• Experience delivering Capital projects up to £1MM in value.
• Proficiency with SAP, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint; Rockwell PLC and SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Designs for factory development projects in collaboration with Manufacturing and BD&E.
• Develop detailed engineering designs and specifications for capital projects.
• Manage site assets with change control and verifications.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, safety and quality.
• Prepare and evaluate tender packages; negotiate terms.
• Recommend solutions to reduce costs and improve safety and quality.
• Manage project costs using ERP tools and forecast capital spend.
• Oversee contractors to ensure safe, efficient work with minimal disruption.
