Job summary

XL Specialized Trailers seeks a production supervisor to lead a manufacturing team and support the Director of Operations. You will supervise staff, organize workflows, and act as a quality inspector while coordinating safety and training across the area of responsibility.

You will monitor production plans, ensure timely output, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Agricultural, or Industrial Engineering; Industrial Technology: Supply Chain; or another related field.
• Three years' manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Spends 50% of their time in direct labor in area of responsibility.
• Supervises staff by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising results; coaching and disciplining.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process and coordinating resources.
• Speaks to safety by identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
• Acts as quality inspector for areas of responsibility and maintains service quality.
• Ensures materials are available for production and trains team members.
• Leads initiatives with lean, 5-S and Kaizen projects for continuous improvement.
