We are excited to recruit a Manufacturing Process Improvement Lead on a Fixed-Term Contract at our site in King's Lynn!

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the review of all manufacturing processes, seek best practices, and standardize.
  2. Lead departmental objectives related to material variances and yield through effective use of resources.
  3. Promote a culture of continuous process improvement.
  4. Review product yield, track actions, and manage costs.
  5. Implement foreign body reduction plans.
  6. Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and dry floors; ensure GMP standards are met.
  7. Ensure quality is maintained according to QAS and Customer Specifications; report deviations immediately. Report missing QAS boards to the designated department.
  8. Drive productivity and efficiency without compromising quality through Manufacturing Leaders.
  9. Collaborate with Finance to develop dashboards for material control KPIs and monitor progress.
  10. Audit processes to ensure compliance with SOPs and track improvements.
  11. Identify process improvements and work alongside Technical Engineers on projects.

You Will Need:

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Customer Codes of Practice.
  • Understanding of HACCP and quality control.
  • Proactive, practical, and methodical approach.
  • Understanding of HR practical applications.
  • People management skills, including counseling, training needs analysis, disciplinary and investigation hearings.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to evaluate and respond appropriately.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, literacy, and numeracy.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Management is desirable but not essential.
  • Level 3 in Food Safety.
