Job summary

BlueGate Consulting Ltd is seeking a Production Engineer for our Luton site to develop and improve manufacturing and assembly processes. Working with experienced engineers, you will learn to manufacture, assemble, test and deliver products efficiently while upholding quality, cost and safety standards.

You will gain hands-on experience in tooling design, process development and continuous improvement, contribute to productivity gains, waste reduction and reliable product delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification and 2–5 years of practical engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD (SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and improving manufacturing processes and documentation.
• Support tooling design and development.
• Maintain routings and bills of materials in Epicor.
• Collaborate with production teams to reduce waste.
• Support introduction of new products into manufacturing.
• Assist PFMEA activities and risk assessments.
• Investigate manufacturing issues and support root cause analysis.
• Support quality improvement through data collection and testing.
• Prepare reports, manufacturing instructions, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.
• Develop knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection.
• Continue developing technical knowledge via training and hands-on experience.
