Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading manufacturing company in Totton, which manufactures and installs facades and decorative exterior components for clients across various sectors. The company has full pre-treatment, manufacturing, and powder coating facilities at its Southampton headquarters. They are seeking a Pre-Treatment Operator to work in their factory in Totton.

  • Cross-reference component codes on panels with job-specific paperwork.
  • Peel protective film from components, preparing them for pre-treatment/painting.
  • Load panels of all sizes into pre-treatment baskets.
  • Process baskets through treatment tanks, adhering to specific time requirements using a stopwatch.
  • Unload panels and stack them into designated areas.

Additional duties may include:

  • Assisting with hanging large components on the paint conveyor line.
  • Assisting with unloading and packing components from the paint conveyor line.
  • Assembling top-hat stiffeners to panels using nuts and washers fitted to weld studs.

The ideal candidate should be vigilant, reliable, and able to work independently. Experience in manufacturing is preferred. The role involves heavy work, so physical fitness is necessary.

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Rate of pay: £11.44 per hour.
